Getting to Bath

Located in the north-east of Somerset, Bath is relatively easy to get to with plenty of transport options available.

Direct train services run from London Paddington to Bath Spa, taking around 90 minutes for the journey. Journey times from Manchester vary but take approx. 3 hours and 30 mins on the train with a stop in Bristol.

The nearest airport to Bath a Bristol which has direct flights from various UK and European cities, including Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dublin and Amsterdam.

A 45 minute car journey will take you from Bristol Airport to Bath city centre.

Things to do in Bath

The near 5 million visitors that arrive in Bath each year do so for it's history and culture. One thing that certainly should not be missed are the historic Roman Baths which date back thousands of years. Take a tour-guided or self-guided tour around the ancient site to delve deep into it's rich background.

The Abbey also attracts plenty of visitors, many taking the 212 step trip to the top of the tower for some incredible views over the city.

Another very popular things to do in Bath is to take afternoon tea one of the mean cute little tearooms that line the cobbled streets. Jam and scones with a nice English 'cuppa' are sure to energise you ready for an evening out.
