30% of respondents in the research stated they would stay in the UK this summer rather than heading abroad on holiday. The number of people planning to visit Europe in summer 2017 rose, with only 11% of respondents looking to travel further afield for their summer holiday.
Fluctuations in the exchange rate due to various factors, including Brexit, has also influenced decision making for holiday makers in summer 2017, some saying they would rather enjoy their holidays in the UK, while others would rather take advantage of travel in Europe while Great Britain is still part of the European Union.
