What is Black Friday?
Did you know that Black Friday refers to the day after Thanksgiving and indicates the start of the festive Christmas season? Brands worldwide have been known to offer some incredible discounts on Black Friday which, in 2016, is Friday 25th November and many retailers offers last all weekend.
From electrical goods and clothes to travel and holidays, the Black Friday deals that many retailers offer can be up to 70% discount on the RRP.
Black Friday actually has quite a long history, dating back to the 1939 Great Depression in America. Brands were struggling during this time and put a petition to the US President, Franklin D. Roosevelt, to bring forward Thanksgiving so that shoppers had a longer festive season in the run up to Christmas in the hope of them spending more.
