Research conducted by shopping website Give As You Live, which allows you to earn charity donations when you shop online, has revealed that the average family in the UK will spend roughly £200 more per person on their summer holiday this year compared to last summer.
Holiday brands Thomson and First Choice holidays have announced they will be expanding their holiday programme in Summer 2018 to include areas of Eastern Europe to include new destination Bulgaria and new hotels in Greece.
Both brands released their Summer 2018 programmes and brochures this week to begin promoting the new locations. Thomson will begin flying to budget destination, Varna in Bulgaria, in May 2018 twice a week from Manchester and London Gatwick, so that customers can enjoy the popular beach resort of Golden Sands and two SuneoClub Resorts in the First Choice portfolio.
TUI's Greece programme will also expand to include a new Sensatori Resort in Rhodes and a new Sensimar Resort in Halkidiki, both brands have grown in popularity over recent years.
Multi-centre holiday options will also increase in the USA with self-drive car holidays, including flights, hotel and car, online, with new beach resorts in Florida also being introduced, such as Fort Lauderdale and St Pete's-Clearwater. Additional itineraries will also include areas of the Deep South, with the likes of Nashville and New Orleans.
Thomson also announced that TUI Explorer, Thomson's latest addition to its cruise fleet will be based in Palma, Majorca in May 2018, joining TUI Discovery and TUI Discovery 2. Additionally, flight capacity from Bristol Airport will also increase for holidays in Summer 2018 which will bring Thomson's Dreamliner aircraft to Bristol, flying out to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
The new destinations and holiday programmes announced this week are already on sale for Summer 2018.
