Being a cute, beach town, a holiday in Cala Tarida is relaxed with a fun, Ibizan vibe. Located on the west coast of the island, the sunset can be incredible as you enjoy an evening along Cala Tarida beach and it's various restaurants and beach bars. With such a beautiful setting and great weather, it's easy to see why this area is popular for destination weddings.
Getting to, from and around Cala Tarida
The journey from Ibiza airport to Cala Tarida will take around 30 minutes by car or a little longer if you’ve pre-booked a coach transfer. Public bus is possible at certain times of the day, using the L38 service from the airport and changing onto the L9 service to the Insotel Club Tarida Playa Hotel.
The town itself is relatively small and is easy to stroll around and to the beach.
To get to Ibiza old town, you can take the L38 bus straight there but it does only run a couple of times a day. If you've hired a car, the journey will take around 40 minutes and would probably be the better option. A taxi journey would cost in the region of €90.
Things to do in Cala Tarida
The beach restaurants and bars are the ideal place to chill. Try Cotton Beach Club for an upmarket bite to eat with sea views or simply relax and enjoy the views from your hotel if you're staying at TUI's Sensatori Hotel.
Day excursions can be organised from your hotel and hiring a car is the perfect way to explore the island. The are a number of beach bars and sea view restaurants dotted along the coast and taking advantage of being able to enjoy the Ibiza sunsets.
