Getting to, from and around San Antonio

Once you've landed at Ibiza Airport, you can get to San Antonio by taxi (or car hire) which will take around 25-30 minutes and cost between €45-50 each way. One of the more afforable ways to to prebook an airport transfer which can take a bit longer depending on the other hotels you stop at. If you're booking a holiday to San Antonio with the likes of Jet2holidays or TUI, you will probably find that airport transfers are included in the cost of your trip.

Once you arrive in San Antonio, it's quite easy to walk around, and if you're going further afield, perhaps to Ibiza town or Playa d'en Bossa, you could get a taxi or public bus. If you're hoping to venture out into the island to find a hidden beach or two, you're better off hiring a car for a few days to give you a bit of freedom and flexibility. You can either do this at Ibiza Airport or there are a number of car hire places in San Antonio.

Things to do in San Antonio

If you're heading to San Antonio on party holiday, you've got to enjoy a sunset drink at one of the various "beach bars" dotted around the town. It's an absolute must. You'll find well-known bars like Cafe del Mar and Cafe Mambo, alongside smaller bars (but just as popular). Sunset really does bring in the crowds so it might be worth planning ahead and booking a table somewhere. In most places you can grab drinks and a bite to eat.

If you like a bit of a break from the busy-ness of the town, try heading up the coast a little to Cala Gracio or Cala Saladeta for quieter beaches but still allow you to enjoy the sunset. If on the other hand you prefer to keep busy and enjoy the liveliness of San Antonio, there are all sorts of activities on offer from go karting to boat trips.

As a popular holiday resort for nightlife, you'll find that many hotels in San Antonio cater more to the adults only type of customer. Ibiza Rocks, in the heart of the town, is one such hotel that is all about the pool parties, and you can buy tickets, even if you're not staying at the hotel.

If you're with the family, try somewhere like the Hotel Abrat which is family friendly and a little out of town so that you're not in the thick of it all, which can be a welcome relief if you want the kids to avoid some of the evening events.
