Cheap Holidays To New York With Jet2holidays

Our Complete Guide To Jet2Holidays To New York In 2024/2025

Sadly Jet2 Holidays no longer flies to New York. They cancelled the seasonal services in 2018. As arguably one of the best cities in the world, Jet2holidays used to offer city breaks to New York, however, currently you can travel with other brands, giving you the opportunity to discover the Big Apple from many of the UKs regional airports like Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle. It is hoped that once the Coronavirus pandemic is over, they will start up the route again, but in the meantime, there are other cheap city breaks to New York you can book.

Getting To New York With Jet2

Jet2 used to fly to New York's Newark airport from a number of UK airports including from Manchester, Edinburgh and Newcastle. They stopped the route in 2018, prior to Covid-19, and it is hoped they will restart the route in future. As a result, you can still get to NYC with other airlines like Virgin Atlantic, United Airlines and others, from your local airport, both direct and indirect flights. We always recommend booking your accommodation and flight together with respected tour operators who offer financial protection through the ABTA and ATOL scheme.

Things To Do In New York

There are so many things to do in New York and if it's on your hitlist, you probably already know some of the key attractions you want to visit. One thing we find very underrated is heading out of the city for a few days too. A great combination is to enjoy a few days in Manhattan, exploring the sights, shops and attractions, before heading out to other parts of New York State like Long Island, or Westchester to experience a bit more of what NY State has to offer.

Time Square - If you've never been before, Times Square should really be on the list. It's full of tourists and very busy, but it's always one to tick off, even if you aren't a fan of the busier parts.

High Line - A lovely outdoor place to enjoy, especially in the summer months, the city's High Line is a disused railway line above the city. Get a bit of exercise or simply head up the stairs and watch the world go by from one of the many seating stops on the way.

Central Park - No matter what time of year you visit, a trip to Central Park is a must, whether you take a wander in the winter, or a sunbathe in the summer. There's something to be said for spending time in the parks of a big city.

Best NYC Hotels With Jet2CityBreaks

While Jet2CityBreaks no longer offers breaks to New York, you can still book a flight and hotel package with one of the many other ATOL and ABTA protected tour operators like Virgin Holidays, Love Holidays, Expedia and lastminute.com. And with such an expansive city, you've got thousands of hotels and accommodation types to choose from, whether you're after a stay in Midtown, Tribeca, the Upper East Side or one of the many other areas.

For somewhere central, take a look at the Yotel Times Square, a budget friendly and modern hotel in the heart of Manhattan. If you're staying over a weekend, a great area to stay to keep the trip cheap is the Financial District in lower Manhattan. Hotels like the three-star Four Points by Sheraton New York Downtown offers a good standard of accommodation, just a couple of blocks from Wall Street Station, and even has a rooftop bar, perfect for those Instagram snaps.
