Guide To Crystal Ski

Part of the TUI Group of holiday brands, Crystal Ski holidays offers winter sports holidays to more than 120 resorts around the world, including popular destinations like France and Austria, as well as lesser known resorts like Finland and Japan.

Utilising both TUI Airways flights and other airlines like British Airways, during the ski season, you can fly from many regional airports including Edinburgh, Newcastle, Bristol and Manchester, giving you more options to get away in winter.

Flight and accommodation packages are ABTA and ATOL protected and usually include shared coach transfers from the airport to your resort. Seats and at least 20kg of check-in luggage is normally included as standard as well.

Extras

There are a number of extra bits and peices you'll probably want to add on to the cost of your holiday. Snowboard and ski carriage costs extra if you want to take your own, and you'll need lift passes too, which are usually cheaper when booking in advance. Other extras you can also organise include equipment hire which can be picked up locally, and if you're new to the sport, or you want to improve your technique, ski school can also be added on.

Low Deposits

When booking far enough in advance (usually at least 12 weeks), and your the package includes flights with TUI, you can often secure your holiday with a low deposit of £100 per person. This gives you the flexibility to pay off the remaining balance monthly or over time, which can be great for family ski holidays or group holidays involving lots of people, and you need to get everyone's money together.

The Crystal Snow Promise

Just like on a summer beach holiday, the weather doesn't always play ball, which is why there's the Crystal Snow Promise. If in the 4 days before you travel, less than 10&percent; of runs are open, or your ski school lessons have been cancelled because of no snow (or a lack of snow), you can change your holiday fee free to another date. You can also upgrade to the Crystal Snow Promise Extra, which costs a little more, but gives you even more options for fee free changes close to departure. Additional terms and conditions apply.

Crystal Ski Discounts

Discounts

There are many ways to save on your next Crystal Ski holiday with anything from discount codes to destination savings, depending on the time of year. For the best chances of saving money and snapping up a bargain, you should try and be flexible about where and when you go.

For example, at the start and end of the ski season, the snow quality might not be as good as peak times like January and February, making late November, early December and April much quieter times. That means the airlines and resorts are keen to fill their seats and rooms and could be discounts.

Discount Codes

Crystal Ski discount codes are sometimes available, however, usually any promo codes are available and visible on the website as you browse. These can be anything from generic money off amounts, to destination or departure date specific offers.

Free Child Places

You can save money on a family ski holiday too with free child places which are also sometimes available with Crystal. Usually this is only to the biggest destinations, and with TUI flights as they better control over the costs involved. One free place is available with two full paying adults on selected ski packages.

Austria

The Austrian Alps have long been a favourite for skiers and snowboarders looking for charming alpine villages and excellent family-friendly options. The slopes are at a lower altitude here but that doesn't stop the snowmaking machines.

Canada

As one of those bucketlist ski destinations, Canada is home to the Rocky Mountains, where you'll find the bulk of the options, like Lake Louise and Banff, but a closer option to Vancouver is Whistler. Over on the east coast, Mont Tremblant can be a great option in Quebec if you'd prefer to avoid the long flight times.

USA

Places like Breckenridge and Vail in Colorado are some of the most popular areas to visit, however, you can also enjoy the piste in other parts of the USA like New England and California. Expect to pay premium prices though, as it can be much more costly to ski in America than Europe.
