Things To Do Near The Barcelona Princess

Natural History Museum

Barcelona's Natural History Museum (Museu de les Ciencies Naturals de Barcelona) sits across the road from the hotel in the Forum building. Also known as the Museu Blau, the museum is just one of the venues of the Natural Sciences Museum (others include the Montjuic Botanical Garden) and showcases the evolution and history of our planet.

With a range of interactive exhibits on offer, including augmented reality and activity rooms, the museum will also keep the kids interested while at the same time being educational.

Parc Del Forum

The Parc Del Forum, once disused area of Barcelona, is now a modern space along the waterfront close to the hotel, with a variety of attractions and activities on offer.

The park itself actually has a limited amount of green space, despite its name, however there are a number of venues which host concerts and events throughout the year. The Barcelona Bosc Urba is one such venue, although this has been closed for renovation works.

Llevant Beach

Known locally as Platja de Llevant, Llevant beach is the closest stretch of sandy beach to the Barcelona Princess Hotel. No more than a ten minute walk away, the beach is perfect for spending some time on the sand and dipping your toes in the sea.

There are one or two bar/restaurants located along this stretch of Barcelona beach and is also a popular spot for kite surfing. Take a stroll along the Passeig Maritim Del Bogatell promenade to explore a little more of the area, especially in the morning as the sun rises over the sea.

Shopping at Diagonal Mar

For those who love a hit of shopping, the Diagonal Mar shopping centre is conveniently located next door to the hotel. With a huge range of shops and restaurants, Diagonal Mar is one of the largest shopping centres in Barcelona. There's also a cinema in the complex, showing a range of the latest movies, although these are generally shown in Spanish and/or Catalan.

Reviews

A little outside the main city centre, the Barcelona Princess is still easily accessible by Metro from El Maresme/Forum into the main areas of Barcelona.

Being situated slightly further out, means that nightly hotel rates can be cheaper than other similar hotels which are more centrally located. Plus you've got the added bonus of the roof top pools which is a fantastic way to chill out and enjoy the sunshine in summer.
