The hotel's most impressive feature is it's rooftop swimming pool, sitting 23 floors above the street with panoramic views out to the Mediterranean. Spending a late afternoon here is an ideal way to relax after a busy day on your feet exploring the city.
The hotel prides itself on its sustainability efforts so you can be comfortable in the knowledge that you're more of a responsible traveller. Standard Double/Twin Room
Standard double and twin rooms are based on the lower floors of the hotel and offer guests all you would expect and more. One of the favourite in-room amenities is the free mini bar selection, always a great way to get your city break started on the right foot.
Double City View Room
Similar to the standard rooms, these rooms enjoy views out towards the city and inland depending on where you're situated within the hotel.

Seaview double rooms are a wonderful upgrade, particularly for those special occasions. These rooms are on the higher floors and offer the same in room facilities as standard doubles, including free mini-bar, hydro massage shower and free WiFi.
Superior Room With Terrace
There are 36 Superior rooms at the Barcelona Princess, each one with wonderful views of Barcelona from your own terrace. These rooms offer slightly more space, as well as a bathtub, sofa and stereo. The perfect way to chill out after a hard day of sightseeing.
If you're visiting Barcelona with the family, you'll probably benefit from staying in one of the Family Rooms at the Princess. These larger rooms provide more space to spread out with a double bed and sofa bed to accommodate up to four people. Family rooms also enjoy sea views.
With one of the highest rooftop infinity pools in Barcelona, the Princess offers guests the chance to relax, catch some rays and enjoy the views from the 23rd floor solarium and pool, 85 metres above the Passeig del Taulat.
A second outdoor pool can be found on the third floor, together with the fully equipped hotel gym and sauna. This is also where you can find the "Gym Bar" (see Food and Drink) to enjoy a fresh lunch or cocktails by the pool.
Please note, the outdoor swimming pool regularly closes in January for annual maintenance.
Travelling For Business
Being close to the convention centre means the hotel is popular with business travellers attending an event or exhibition. With a fully equipped business centre with computers and printer, as well as laundry and dry cleaning service, the Princess caters well to the business traveller.
Food And Drink
The Barcelona Princess prides itself on sourcing sustainable and locally produced food where possible. There are a couple of places within the hotel to grab some food and enjoy a drink.
The Gym Bar
Located at the outdoor pool on the third floor, the hotel's Gym Bar is an ideal spot for food and beverages in the summertime. Open daily from 10:30am until 12 midnight between March and October, this restaurant and bar is perfect for making the most of the sunshine. Here you can grab a coffee or OJ in the morning, share local tapas dishes at lunchtime or dine in style in the evening, with the specially designed Mediterranean menu. Just fancy a cocktail while lounging by the pool in the sun? No problem, a large selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks are available throughout the day.
The Corner Bar
Open from 9am to 1am, the Corner Bar on the ground floor offers guests a mix of food and drink in a casual environment. Grab your morning coffee and croissant, a quick but tasty lunch or enjoy evening cocktails with friends here. The delicious food selection ranges from small tapas dishes and sandwiches to more substantial burgers and pizzas.
The N1 restaurant is the hotel's main dining space offering the Mediterranean inspired breakfast buffet, served from 7am daily.
Parking at the Barcelona Princess is possible at a cost of €23 per day but being so close to the L4 Metro and T6 tram lines, it's more affordable as a visitor to buy a Barcelona transport card.
Things To Do Near The Barcelona Princess
Natural History Museum
Barcelona's Natural History Museum (Museu de les Ciencies Naturals de Barcelona) sits across the road from the hotel in the Forum building. Also known as the Museu Blau, the museum is just one of the venues of the Natural Sciences Museum (others include the Montjuic Botanical Garden) and showcases the evolution and history of our planet.
With a range of interactive exhibits on offer, including augmented reality and activity rooms, the museum will also keep the kids interested while at the same time being educational.
Parc Del Forum
The Parc Del Forum, once disused area of Barcelona, is now a modern space along the waterfront close to the hotel, with a variety of attractions and activities on offer.
The park itself actually has a limited amount of green space, despite its name, however there are a number of venues which host concerts and events throughout the year. The Barcelona Bosc Urba is one such venue, although this has been closed for renovation works.
Known locally as Platja de Llevant, Llevant beach is the closest stretch of sandy beach to the Barcelona Princess Hotel. No more than a ten minute walk away, the beach is perfect for spending some time on the sand and dipping your toes in the sea.
There are one or two bar/restaurants located along this stretch of Barcelona beach and is also a popular spot for kite surfing. Take a stroll along the Passeig Maritim Del Bogatell promenade to explore a little more of the area, especially in the morning as the sun rises over the sea.
Shopping at Diagonal Mar
For those who love a hit of shopping, the Diagonal Mar shopping centre is conveniently located next door to the hotel. With a huge range of shops and restaurants, Diagonal Mar is one of the largest shopping centres in Barcelona. There's also a cinema in the complex, showing a range of the latest movies, although these are generally shown in Spanish and/or Catalan.
A little outside the main city centre, the Barcelona Princess is still easily accessible by Metro from El Maresme/Forum into the main areas of Barcelona.
Being situated slightly further out, means that nightly hotel rates can be cheaper than other similar hotels which are more centrally located. Plus you've got the added bonus of the roof top pools which is a fantastic way to chill out and enjoy the sunshine in summer.
