Best Barcelona Hotels With Rooftop Pools

Just around the corner from the Avinguda Diagonal, the 5-star Ohla Barcelona Hotel in Barcelona's iconic central Eixample district offers guests a boutique hotel experience including dining at the Michelin star Xerta Restaurant and enjoying the views from the heated, rooftop lap pool and bar.

The Sky Bar is open throughout the day for guests and for those not staying at the hotel, you can enjoy the rooftop from 7pm.

BUDGET FRIENDLY

The Ibis Styles Barcelona City Bogatell is one of our favourite budget hotels in Barcelona. Not quite in the city centre but also not miles away, this hotel offers affordable accommodation within easy access of the city and the beach. It's perfect if you want to keep the cost of your break down, and you're going to get a travel card during your stay in Barcelona, although La Sagrada Familia is only a 25 minute walk away.

Although the facilities here are limited, the rooftop pool is on the 8th floor so your views aren't too bad. The pool is unheated though so bear that in mind in the cooler winter months. We've stayed here ourselves and found it ideal for a cheap break in Barcelona, particularly for families because they also have interconnecting rooms.

Located on Passeig de Gracia, the 5-star Majestic Hotel and Spa in Barcelona's Eixample district offers guests the opportunity to admire the views from the rooftop pool and terrace at this boutique style, award winning hotel.

During the summer months, evenings on the terrace have a cool, disco and sunset sessions vibe, staying open until 2am with DJs regularly appearing at La Dolce Vitae, the hotel's rooftop bar.

Why We Love It: Although we love the roof terrace (with views of La Sagrada Familia), we also love the cute little spa here too

Barcelona's Grand Hotel Central offers a more upmarket (and pricier) stay in the city, but if you're out to treat yourself, this is the place to book. Boutique with a grand interior, the Grand Hotel Central offers spa treatments and gym in the urban spa and wellness centre with views of Barcelona, and that all important rooftop, infinity pool at the Skybar. Being located close to the Barcelona Cathedral means views across the Gothic Quarter are stunning, and potentially one of the best pools in Barcelona. And you don't have to venture all the way to Barceloneta Beach to dip your toes in the water.

By day, the Skybar is the perfect place to relax in the sunshine, take in the views and enjoy the chill out music. Freshly prepared ingredients and juices make lunch on the terrace a health nuts dream.

Located in the Gothic Quarter, close to the Aquarium, the 4-star Hotel Duquesa de Cardona offers a modern but stylish stay within easy reach of some of Barcelona's top attractions. While the rooftop plunge pool might be smaller than other hotels in Barcelona, the views across the marina from the Hotel Duquesa are simply stunning.

By day, the roof terrace offers a relaxed poolside vibe while the evening brings more of a cocktail bar with tapas type feel.

Despite only being 3-stars, the Hotel Jazz packs a punch and is incredibly popular with guests. A relaxed vibe with views across the city, the hotel's 8th floor rooftop pool is only open during the summer months from 9am until 9pm but is a popular option for those wanting to enjoy a rooftop pool in Barcelona on a budget.

Located a short walk to Pl. Catalunya and Passeig de Gracia, the Hotel Jazz has convenient transport links around the city, and makes for an ideal summer stay in the city.

The 3-star Hotel Rec Barcelona is a modern, adults only hotel close to Arc de Triomf, making it the perfect accommodation option for couples visiting Spain on a romantic break. There are a few room types including one with a balcony, although you'll want to head upstairs for the city views.

Free WiFi and heating/air conditioning are standard in all rooms which are modern, spacious and very bright. But it's the 7th floor Rec Lounge, solarium and rooftop terrace which really sets the hotel apart. Ideal for soaking up the rays on a hot summer day by the outdoor swimming pool, or simply relaxing and enjoying a drink with views after a hard day sightseeing, the Rec Lounge is also a really useful place for a bit of work if you're lucky enough to work from anywhere.

Why We Love It: Modern, adults only and conveniently located in El Born. The Rec Lounge is also great if you're able to work from abroad.

Another luxury hotel option, 5-star The One Hotel sits in a popular and convenient location in Eixample, featuring modern and elegant rooms, rooftop bar and restaurant and spa experience. The rooftop plunge pool (more like a lap pool), with sunbathing deck, is naturally one of the key features of the hotel, offering fantastic views of Barcelona.

The Mood Rooftop Bar and pool are open to guests during the summer season only. The Despacio Spa area is beautiful with an indoor pool, Finnish sauna, relaxation area with sun loungers and a range of spa treatments like massages and facials.
