Located in the heart of the Costa Adeje, the 3-star Playaolid Suites & Apartments is budget friendly, but still offers a good standard of accommodation and all inclusive experience. Plus if you do feel like venturing out, Fanabe beach is only a 5-10 minute walk away, along with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants if you want to skip a hotel meal and try something in the local area. And Aqualand water park is only a 5 minute drive too!

9. Bahia Principe Sunlight San Felipe, Puerto De La Cruz
Many holidaymakers head to the south of Tenerife, however, if it's the cooler temperatures of the north you prefer, then this one might be for you. Located just across the road from Playa de Martianez (a black sand and pebble beach), the 3-star Bahia Principe Sunlight San Felipe sits conveniently in Puerto De La Cruz, close to Centro Comercial Martianez shopping centre. It does take longer to get here (75 minutes from Tenerife South airport), however, it's a very different vibe to the likes of the southern resorts.

So if you want to take advantage of all inclusive before you head out for a night on the town, or you'd prefer to be only a few steps from your hotel after leaving the club, take a look at this one.

Better still, it's only about 15-20 minutes from the airport, so no long airport coach transfers.

For some real rest and relaxation, sometimes it's better to keep away from the kids and enjoy a more grown-up escape. If that's you, then the 4-star Barcelo Santiago hotel in Puerto de Santiago (near Los Gigantes), could be for you. Along with show-cooking at the buffet restaurant, there is also an a la carte restaurant, however, it's the stunning views of the Los Gigantes cliffs and La Gomera, which steal the show here. The views from the pool, from the rooms, and from the restaurants will truly spoil you.

The huge pool here is the main attraction, and is the longest infinity pool in Europe! There's a lovely spa, kids' club, disco, as well as easy access to a small black sand beach, plus a bar for sunset drinks. If you want an adults only escape, try the RedLevel part of the hotel, which has it's own adults only pool and restaurant.

We love it here, from the amazing outdoor pools with great views, to the relaxing spa and treatment rooms. For the best of the best, try the Iberostar Grand Salome hotel in Costa Adeje. According to previous guests on TripAdvisor, this place is the best all inclusive Tenerife hotel, with a beautiful spa, exceptional food and a very luxurious experience. Although children are welcome here, it's very much orientated towards adults, so it's worth bearing that in mind before you book.

We LOVE the 4-star Spring Hotel Bitacora! Located in the heart of Playa de las Americas, this super family-friendly hotel has 3 pools, including a splash park for kids. There are also family rooms, a children's club, evening entertainment and move nights too. But what we most love, is that you can book a package holiday, including UNLIMITED (you read that right!) access to Siam Park water park, voted the best water park in the world! Holidays to Tenerife are never complete without a trip to Siam Park.
