Things to Do
Being an all inclusive resort, the hotel is well self-contained, encouraging you to stay at the hotel for the duration for your stay, however, sometimes it's nice to get out and explore the local area around Fantasia. For things to do, if you're a fan of golf, there are two golf courses close by where clubs can also be hired if you didn't bring your own, offering challenging holes with impressive scenery. The nearby fishing village of Los Abrigos (about a 20 minute walk) is also perfect for trying some of the local fish dishes, caught fresh the same day.
The bus stop is right outside the hotel, so it's cheap and easy to jump on the bus to Los Cristianos and go and explore some of the livelier areas of Tenerife, including the bars and nightlife of Las Americas, Siam shopping mall and Tenerife's fabulous water park, Siam Park.

Beach
The nearest beach is a 5-10 minute walk away at the pebbly Playa de San Blas with the nearest black sand beach at Playa Los Abrigos, a little further on. The Tenerife government have improved the coastal pathways which means the walk up to Los Abrigos is much more accessible. Alternatively, if you prefer golden sand, you can spend the day on the beach around Los Cristianos and up towards Costa Adeje.
Excursions
You can book excursions while you're at the hotel or organise them in advance, and there's lots to enjoy. Try a trip on a local submarine, or head out on a boat to go whale and dolphin watching. Tenerife is also an excellent place to watch the stars and an evening trip up Mount Teide to go star gazing is also worth the trip.
Nightlife
There's lots going on at the hotel, with it's own night club and shows, but if you want to venture out, the Golf del Sur is quieter than other areas of the island. There are still plenty of restaurants and bars in the area to try but if it's a big clubbing night, you might want to venture into Las Americas.
