With year round sunshine and a bunch of wonderful islands to discover, Canary Islands cruises are ideal if you want a bit of winter sunshine, or a family holiday with plenty to see and do. Sailings in 2025, 2026 and 2027 will take you around islands like Tenerife, Gran Canaria, La Palma, La Gomera, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, as well as potentially Madeira and The Azores.
These cruises around the Canaries can either depart from Southampton (usually 10-14 day itineraries), or you can head straight to the sunshine with a Canary Islands fly cruise, starting in either Gran Canaria or Tenerife. Each day, you'll visit a new port with cruise lines like P&O Cruises, Marella, MSC and Princess Cruises.

P&O Cruises offer cruises from Southampton to the Canary Islands, as well as fly-cruises, allowing you to go with your favourite cruise line, no matter how you get there. You can even combine two together (one cruise after another), to spend extra time in the Canaries. Plus they offer adults only cruises on their Arcadia and Aurora ships.
As a popular brand for UK holidaymakers, TUI has its own cruise line, Marella Cruises, which offer all inclusive cruises around the Canaries. These cruises are all package fly-cruises, with flights from the UK (including regional airports like Manchester, Belfast, Glasgow and Newcastle) to either Tenerife or Gran Canaria, where you'll join your cruise.
Costa Cruises is very much a European brand so expect to see more European holidaymakers on your ship, instead of English like you would with P&O, however, they still cater well to Brits. They have a number of itineraries that sail around the Atlantic islands, including Madeira & The Azores, which also start from the Mediterranean.
MSC is another cruise line which offers fly cruises around the Canary Islands. These cruises generally depart from Las Palmas in Gran Canaria or Santa Cruz in Tenerife. They regularly have some great offers available including extra onboard credit and free child place cruises.
There are a couple of other cruise companies that offer cruises around the Canary Islands. These include Princess Cruises, Cunard, Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean, as well as lines that are more targeted towards European customers like Mein Schiff. Both Saga and Fred Olsen also offer trips focused on the over 50s.
