Parkdean Cayton Bay

About Parkdean Cayton Bay Holiday Park

A ten minute drive south from Scarborough and you'll reach Parkdean's Cayton Bay holiday park, a popular park with plenty to do and only a ten minute walk to sandy, Cayton Bay beach nearby.

The park enjoys a range of facilities for the whole family, including outdoor crazy golf and Parkdean's fantastic kids clubs. For those days you want to head out of the park, there are lovely countryside walks closeby.

Cayton Bay Park Facilities

As with most Parkdean holiday parks, one of the main attractions here is the indoor pool. Heated for colder days, the pool also has a fun water slide to enjoy, as well as several water sport activities.

The outdoor multi-sports courts are perfect for a game of football or basketball, while the soft play area and adventure outdoor playground will help the kids burn off energy.

Kids also have access to the Parkdean children's clubs, Star Tots and Star Landers which offer a range of activities to keep them entertained. Keep an eye out for the Parkdean Starland Krew too who lead the fun and will join in on the evening entertainment.

The Boathouse bar and restaurant serves meals throughout the day for those times when you just don't fancy cooking, and there is a fish and chip shop on site too for those special 'fish n chip Fridays'. If you're staying in to cook and forgot to grab the essentials, don't worry. There is a Nisa mini supermarket in the park, especially good for weekend treats.

Caravan Facilities

There are a variety of caravan types at Cayton Bay to suit all budgets, each one offering a lounge heater, TV and fully fitted kitchen. Upgrade options available here include caravans with central heating, wider caravans, pet-friendly caravans and lodges which offer a little more luxury for those extra special holidays.

Caravans have two or three bedrooms and can sleep up to 8 people (generally 1 double, 2 twin rooms and two on the sofa bed). The fitted kitchens include a microwave, oven, sink and fridge/freezer, but you can also upgrade to a half board basis and enjoy breakfast and dinner at the Boathouse Restaurant.

Things To Do Near Cayton Bay Holiday Park

The nearby beach is one of the main attractions outside of the park. A lovely stretch of sandy beach is perfect for having some family fun in the sand or even trying your hand at surfing with a local surf school.

Being located in a quieter part of Yorkshire, a trip into Scarborough will be a welcome day out for those who like a little bit more hustle. Perfect for shopping, grabbing a bite to eat or enjoying a night on the tiles, Scarborough also offers a bit of history and culture in the form of Scarborough Art Gallery and the Rotunda Museum.

Reviews

Cayton Bay is a quiet stretch of the North Yorkshire coast and is a 10-15 minute drive into Scarborough town centre. If you want somewhere a little out of town but within easy reach of the shops or the beach, this Parkdean resort could be for you and your family. It's a 5-10 minute taxi ride from Seamer train station so if you only have access to public transport, you might want to choose a different park.
