Lower Hyde Park Facilities
On the park, the main feature is the outdoor swimming pool which is open during the summer. If you're on holiday at another time of the year, fear not as the Parkdean also has a heated indoor pool here so when it gets a little chilly, there's still plenty of fun to be had.
Other popular activities include the multi-purpose sports court, children's playground and amusement arcade. The Star Tots is the children's club for under 5 year olds, while the Starland Krew, hosted by the legednary Parkdean Troupers is the activity club for kids over 5 years. A packed programme of activities and fun is in store, even for adults.
In the evening, the Barnhouse Bar and Restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy a family meal before your evening entertainment including shows, bingo, live bands and acts and an evening of dancing. Don't fancy eating out? No problem. Simply get the takeaway option or cook in the comfort of your own caravan or lodge kitchen.

Things To Do Near Lower Hyde Holiday Park
Situated in a great location just outside of Shanklin on the Isle of Wight coast, Lower Hyde is just a short walk into town and a 15 minute walk to the sandy Shanklin beach. Here you can grab a bite to eat, catch a theatre show, do a little shopping or simply enjoy some quality family time down on the beach in the sand.
Being close to the train station, it's also easy to visit some of the areas on the east of the island. Try a trip up the road to Sandown to explore Dinosaur Isle, a fun and interactive museum to learn about dinosaurs, or head over to the Isle of Wight Zoo in Yaverland for another family day out exploring. Alternatively, a trip up to Ryde for attractions like the Bus Museum, Peter Pan Funfair, Waterside swimming pool or even simply to catch the latest blockbuster movie at the Commodore Cinema.
