Over the years Pontins has closed a number of its holiday parks including popular locations such as Blackpool, Dolphin Holiday Camp in Devon, and Little Canada on the Isle of Wight. Some of the parks have since been demolished and rebuilt on while others like Hemsby in Norfolk have been left abandoned and where a fire was deliberately started. You can find video footage of drones which have flown over the abandoned buildings online. In 2020, the Pontins Hemsby site was sold to a development company to build 190 homes on the site.
Although many have closed, the first and original Pontins holiday camp at Brean Sands near Weston-Super-Mare is still going strong.
