Filled with fun in the sun, holidays in Benalmadena are perfect for all sorts of holidaymakers, whether you want to take the family on an all inclusive holiday, or you're a couple just looking for a short break in the sun. It's a great option in the Costa Del Sol if you love lots of nightlife with plenty to see and do.
For a bit of variation, if you love the outdoors and a bit of hiking, the Sierra de Mijas mountains are great to explore, particularly in the Spring and Autumn months, while a trip up to Aqualand Torremolinos ater park is a fun day out whether you're on holiday in Benalmadena with family or friends.
The journey from Malaga airport to Benalmadena takes about 15 minutes by car or between 20-30 minutes by coach transfer depending on the number of other hotels you stop at along the way. So it's pretty quick and easy and is an obvious choice for families who don't like long airport transfer times. If you're on a budget, you can also take a public bus to the centre of Benalmadena from the airport which will take around 30 minutes.
Once you're in Benalmadena, it's easy to get around the centre but it does stretch out a little, so you might want to take the bus or get taxis if you're heading further afield. Most of the time though you'll be fine with a bit of walking. Mobility scooters are plentiful and easy to hire. During peak times like the summer school holidays, it might be worth booking this in advance so you can make sure you get one.
If you want to explore the coast a bit, you can easily hire a car for a day or two. You can do this in advance, or simply speak to your hotel staff who can help you find a local car hire provider.
