We LOVE the Riu Palace Las Americas in Cancun's Zona Hotelera. This 5-star, adults only resort is conveniently located close to the shopping centres, so it's easy to pop out and grab a few bits, or a couple of souvenirs. There's also bars and restaurants nearby, not that you'll need it, as this place has six restaurants and four bars, including a pool bar. And if you get bored of lounging by the infinity pool, there's heaps to do here.

The five-star Riu Palace Peninsula hotel is a sprawling resort with sooooooo much to do. It's not for everyone, but if you love a place you can get lost in with heaps to do, then definitely check out this place. Everything from beach volleyball and snorkelling, to the kids' club RiuLand and evening entertainment with live music, is on offer. There are also four big pools, children's pool plus a swim up bar.

The 24 hour dining compliments the seven restaurants, including a beachfront seafood restaurant which is the opitome of all inclusive holidays in the Caribbean. Evening entertainment is a sure fire winner, with everything from live music and DJs to theme nights and casino nights. And you've got the shopping, bars, restaurants and water parks of Punta Cancun within easy reach, if you fancy venturing out.

We couldn't pull together our best all inclusives without adding on one resort in the beautiful Costa Mujeres. Stylish fun and excitement is exactly what you'd expect from a Planet Hollywood Resort and this one is no different. Located about 60 minutes from Cancun airport along Playa Mujeres, this beachfront gem is home to 3 swimming pools, 2 children's splash parks, a lazy river AND a surf simulator. In the evenings there's live music, silent discos and even a cinema.

Wow! As one of the largest hotels in Mexico, the Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort, located just south of Cancun's hotel zone, is humongous with over 2,000 rooms spread across 123 acre. For such a big resort, you'd expect a lot of places to eat and drink, and you'd be right. There are a whopping 16 restaurants and 13 bars here. No wonder it's such a popular all inclusive resort! On top of that you've got a kids' club, night club, spa facilities, loads of sports including Moon Palace Golf Club (there are several excellent golf courses in Cancun), seven pools (two of which are children's pools), and there's even a surf simulator! The Moon Palace Cancun is seriously impressive!

For a truly family friendly resort in Mexico, the Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun sits a little further down the coast but is packed with exciting activities for the whole family. The Entertainment Centre is a huge draw for families, and although some of the activities cost extra, there is no chance of getting bored here, plus there's free WiFi too. You'll find a trampoline park, bowling alley and laser tag. Head outside and you've got 14 waterslides and two lazy rivers within the water park, plus the gorgeous white sand beaches of the Caribbean coast.
