Swimming Pools

The three saltwater pools, one for children, are big with a large sundeck for sunbathing. There are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas on offer, and pool towels can be hired for a refundable deposit. In the main swimming pool, it's here you'll find poolside games and aquagym.

Gym, Fitness & Sports

Gym

The small on-site gym, offers guests the chance to stay fit while away on holiday. It has a number of free weights and weight machines, as well as cardio machines like bikes and treadmill.

Spa

There isn't a spa as such, however, the hotel does offer massages and beauty treatments, which can be paid for locally.

El Jablillo - El Jablillo is the main buffet restaurant at the hotel and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Serving international dishes, show cooking and three themed nights a week, the restaurant offers a range of cuisines to enjoy.
A La Carte Restaurant - Open three days a week in the evening, guests can pay extra to enjoy a range of dishes at the a la carte restaurant.

Bars

Poolside Bar Estrella - Open from 10:30am to 6:30pm daily, Bar Estrella, located by the pool, serves drinks and light snacks like sandwiches and salads throughout the day.
Lobby Bar Alisios - For an evening drink, Bar Alisios in the lobby is open between 6pm and midnight for pre, and post-dinner cocktails.

There are some fantastic things to do near the Grand Teguise Playa, from exploring the aquarium to trying out a new sport like surfing or snorkelling. Here are some of our favourites:

Restaurants Nearby

If you've only booked a bed & breakfast or half board holiday, there are lots of restaurants closeby to try out, from Canarian dishes to crepes and waffles and everything inbetween. Walking up along the Avenida del Jablillo, you'll find a number of great eateries dotted about. Alternatively, if you walk around the coastal walkway, you'll also come across a few cafes to enjoy food with views.

Beach

Right outside the hotel is Jablilla Beach, a small cove of soft sand and turquoise water, perfect for a relaxing day in the sun. The surrounding rocks protect the cove here, making the water calm and shallow. Don a mask and go snorkelling around here to spot the local sealife in the area. Other beaches in the area include Playa Bastian, more of a rough and ready beach and Playa de las Cucharas, a larger and busier beach with sections to hire sun beds.

Excursions

There are some fun and exciting excursions you can take in the local area. To start, there is a bike hire shop down the road, perfect for getting out and exploring this part of Lanzarote. Arrecife is a short drive away with places to visit like the Castillo de San Gabriel and the Centro Comercial Marina Lanzarote. Further afield, you can also book onto tours and excursions like the volcano experience in Timanfaya National Park.

Nightlife

With bars staying open until 3am, if you're a bit of a night owl and love a cocktail with some live music, there are some fun and lively places in and around Teguise.

Golf

There are two golf courses on the island, making a winter golf holiday, a great option here. Costa Teguise Golf Course, a beautiful course lined with over 3,500 palm trees, is only 5km away, just a short drive, and making the Grand Teguise Playa an ideal accommodation option if you're in Lanzarote to play golf.

Waterpark

Aquapark Costa Teguise, the largest waterpark on the island, is only a five minute drive from the resort and a fantastic day out for all the family. With rides and slides ranging from children's lake to the aquaracer water slides.

Getting Here

The resort is about 15km away from Lanzarote airport making it quick and easy to get to. If booking a shared coach transfer, the journey can take 20-30 minutes depending on the number of stops to drop off other holidaymakers. This is best booked in advance and may be included in the cost of your holiday. Alternatively, if travelling by private transfer, taxi or you have hired a car, this can take around 20 minutes.
