Things to Do
The area of Alcala is one of Tenerife's quieter areas, and as such a big resort, you'll want to stay in the hotel and enjoy as many of the facilities as you can during your stay. From enjoying a game on the tennis court to taking a break from the sunshine at the snack bar, there's plenty to do, but it's still great to get out and discover the local area. There are a number of lovely restaurants in the local area, as well as walk along the coast. There's even a scuba diving company close by too.
The hotel has some incredible a la carte restaurants to enjoy, but there are some great restaurants nearby to enjoy too. The seaside eateries can be a little pricer but if you head to the main square in Alcala there are some cheaper places too. If you love seafood, for something really special, try Muelle Viejo, particularly lovely for a bite to eat at lunchtime.
There is a small, black sand beach close by with umbrellas and sun loungers which can be hired, and is a nice break away from the main pool for a quick drip in the sea. There's also a natural swimming pool just in front of the resort, which, in the summer time and when the weather conditions are right, is a lovely experience to enjoy.
The hotel can help you organise excursions while you're on holiday but if there's something specific you want to see or do, it's a great idea to book before you travel to avoid disappointment. Activities like scuba diving can be organised locally, with the chance to spot turtles, or you may prefer a day out at Siam Park for a bit of waterpark fun.
This is a much quieter area of Tenerife so there isn't much in the way of nightlife outside the hotel apart from the odd local bar and restaurant. If you fancy a dance, the hotel's disco is well suited, although the drive to Costa Adeje is about a 15-20 minute drive if you want a bit more nightlife.
