Things to do in Lagos

Most holiday makers to Lagos will come for the sunshine, pool time and beaches, plus the delicious food, of course. There are a number of beaches surrounding Lagos to choose from, ranging from quieter sandy coves to wider, more popular stretches of beach.

Boat trips, including dolphin watching and kayaking are two very popular day trips from Lagos. Make sure to take a walk around the marina to have a look at what's on offer as well as try out the local seafood at a couple of restaurants. An all-inclusive holiday in the Algarve can be nice but it's always fun to head out and explore the local eateries.

Where to stay in Lagos

Lagos is quite a compact area of the Algarve and has a range of accommodation from Air Bnb apartments and villas up to all inclusive resorts. Even if your hotel doesn't have an outdoor pool (unlikely), you're usually within a maximum 15 minutes walk from the nearest beach.

If you're self catering, or on a bed and breakfast basis, staying close to the marina is a good choice for its variety of restaurants to try for lunch and dinner meals. Don't worry though, there are a couple of supermarkets in Lagos, including a budget friendly Lidl, to buy snacks and ingredients so you can cook at home too.
