Previously known as the Holiday Village Menorca, the TUI BLUE Grupotel Turquesa Mar is a fun and exciting, all-inclusive resort in Menorca's Cala'n Bosch area is an ideal holiday resort for all the family in 2024 and 2025. Also known as the Grupotel Club Turquesa Mar, there are heaps of activities to keep the kids occupied, no matter the age, and with them kept busy, adults can enjoy a more relaxing getaway, plus with it being an all-inclusive hotel, you don't have to worry about paying for any extras, it's all included.

There are four swimming pools to start, including an indoor one, for if your holiday weather doesn't quite go as planned, plus a quiet pool for those looking for a bit more relaxation. The kids pool also has a couple of slides and activities too. As with all First Choice Holiday Village locations, it has a kids club running from 1st May to 31st October, perfect for keeping the kids occupied. The clubs splits into age groups (3-5 years, 6-8 years and 9-11 years).

Most activities are free of charge such as the climbing wall, children's playground and the general activity programme during the day, however, there are one or two that do cost a little extra and can be booked in resort, such as Football Academy, Swim Academy and Stage Academy.

As evening comes around, you can choose from three restaurants (two of which can only be visited once a week), however, the buffet restaurant features theme nights and Sunday roasts to allow for lots of variation each day. There's even a special kids buffet section, another great reason to choose Holiday Village in Cala'n Bosch, just one of First Choice Holiday's all-inclusive resorts in Menorca. Why not end the evening enjoying the shows put on by the resort entertainment team.

The distance from Menorca airport to the Holiday Village Menorca is around 55km or a 90 minute coach transfer as the resort is pretty much on the other side of the island to the airport. Often known by it's real hotel name, the Club Turquesa Mar, you can actually book as a hotel only stay, direct on the hotel's official website. Otherwise you can book a package holiday via TUI or First Choice. Due to exclusivity, you aren't likely to be able to book through other tour operators like Jet2 Holidays, On The Beach, Love Holidays or Thomas Cook.

Free child places are often available through TUI/First Choice so make sure to check when booking and book early for 2024 and 2025to get a cheap deal for the family.

Pools

There are four pools to enjoy whether you're after some fun in the splash pool, to relaxing in a quieter area. The outdoor pools are not heated, however, the indoor pool is, so if you have any chillier days on holiday, you know you can head indoors and still enjoy some time at the pool.

Pool towels can be picked up from reception and are free, but there is a €10 refundable deposit, returned to you when you bring back your towels so make sure you bring them back, especially if you are planning to use them as beach towels down at Cala en Bosch beach.

Daytime Entertainment and Kids' Clubs

The Kids' Club is open between May and October and is split into two age groups, 3-8 year olds (HV Club) and 9-15 year olds (HV Crew), both offering a great range of activities. There's also an on-site creche for the little ones which is run by Level 3 Child Care qualified staff.

Activities

You certainly won't get bored while you're on holiday here. From archery and an exciting aerial adventure, to a climbing wall and hiring bikes, there are lots of activities to enjoy. And don't forget HV's infamous Swim, Stage and Football Academy.

Evening Entertainment

In the evening, there is a variety of entertainment on offer including shows, themed nights and cabaret. For kids there's also a mini disco.

Health & Fitness

Holidays are all about relaxing, and here you'll be able to enjoy the spa area, as well as keep fit in the fitness room.

Gym

There is a small and basic gym at the hotel to help you keep fit on holiday, with a couple of cardio machines. It's open from 9am until 7pm.

Spa

Within the spa area, you can enjoy the heated indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and water jets. Massage treatments can be booked at the hotel as well.

Excursions

For those times you get itchy feet, your holiday rep will be able to book you onto a number of excursions to get you out of the hotel and exploring the island. Why not try a trip to the nearby Ciutadella Old Town, or venture up Monte Toro, Menorca's highest mountain.

Food & Drink

Food

There are three restaurants including the main buffet restaurant with a varied menu. A BBQ buffet restaurant and A La Carte Italian restaurant are also on hand for a bit of variation (both of which can be enjoyed once per week as part of your all inclusive package), but reservations are required. Restaurant food times are:

8am - 10:30am for breakfast
1pm - 3pm for lunch
6:30pm - 9pm for dinner

Dress Code

There isn't a dress code as such, however, you shouldn't wear swimming attire in the restaurants. Long trousers or smart shorts for men are recommended for dinner.

Drinks

A selection of local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks including some beer and cocktails are included within the price of your holiday. They will generally have an 'AI' next to them on the drinks menu if they are included.

Things To Do

Holiday Villages are unique to First Choice, which means it's all inclusive, and that includes the flights, airport transfers and one piece of checked-in luggage per person. Once you arrive in resort, your wristband will allow you access to snacks as well as meals and drinks. With so much to do in resort, you may not want to venture out, however, the Holiday Village Menorca is located near Cala'n Bosch, so you can easily take a stroll outside and have a wander around the local shops, bars and restaurants.

You're also only a 10 minute walk from the Son Xoriguer sandy beach, perfect if you want to get away from the pool and down to the coastline. There are also some great seaside restaurants in the area to try (at additional cost) if you do decide to venture out. You're also not far from the Aquarock Waterpark, a great day out for the family. The slides and pools will keep the family entertained all day and a karting track is just next door. Prices at the Aquarock Waterpark is €11 for children and €20 for adults.

With so much to do in the area and at the resort, the Holiday Village in Menorca is an ideal family holiday destination.

Getting Here

The Holiday Village in Menorca is approx. 55km from Mahon airport. You best option to get there is either by car (hire car or taxi) or pre-booking a coach transfer which is likely to be included in the cost of your holiday if you have booked with either TUI or First Choice. If you have booked or are booking with another travel company, make sure to check what is included. The drive will take about an hour if travelling directly by car from the airport. The city of Mahon is a similar distance and public transport options are a little limited, so if you plan on exploring the island, hiring a car is a good option.
