Milan is actually one of the cheapest places to fly to in Europe with Ryanair flights starting from less than £20 per person each way, and with a huge range of accommodation options from self catering apartments, to city centre hotels, Milan can be a super budget friendly city break option in 2025 or 2026.
There are actually three main airports in and around Milan, Linate (LIN) which is the closest to the city centre, Milan Malpensa (MXP) which is the largest of the airports, and Bergamo (BGY), which is perhaps more cosidered to be the low-cost airport, but is a good option if you're visiting the Italian Lakes.
