Holiday Village Atlantica Rooms
The Atlantica Holiday Village is split into three different zones with a variety of room types, allowing you to choose the area you wish to stay in when you book. These are the activity area, relax area and deluxe area. Staying in the activity area allows you to be close to the action around the pool area. Rooms options in the relax area help you enjoy a quieter stay being further from the pool, while the deluxe area rooms give you exclusive access to the deluxe pool and a number of other benefits like pool towels. There are swim up rooms too. Late check out may also be available for an additional charge.

Activity Double Room
Activity double rooms are the standard room type and located in the activity area of the hotel. They sleep up to three (two adults and one child) and have balcony or terrace, TV, air conditioning and free WiFi.
Activity Swim Up Rooms are similar to standard doubles, however, they have direct access to a shared pool from the terrace. It's the ideal hotel room upgrade if you fancy a little bit of luxury.
Relax Swim Up Family Rooms sleep up to four people, are located in the relax area of the hotel and enjoy access to a shared pool from the terrace area.
Deluxe Family Rooms are in the deluxe area which is considered an upgrade to standard rooms. These rooms have minibar, games console (not that you'll need it) and air conditioning. Pool towels and access to the exclusive Deluxe pool is included when staying in one of these rooms.
There are only a couple of Deluxe Villas at the HV Rhodes but they offer private pools and are a wonderful upgrade for those looking for more privacy on holiday as they are tucked away.
As it's part of the Atlantica Hotels chain, you can book direct on the Atlantica Holiday Village Rhodes website if you're booking a hotel only stay, however, it is recommended to book your flight and hotel together as a package to benefit from the financial protection of your holiday being ABTA/ATOL protected. For First Choice and TUI, Holiday Village Rhodes in Greece is a key part of their Holiday Village range and are the two main holiday companies to look at for a package holiday which can also include your prebooked check-in luggage and in-resort airport transfers. The hotel also offers free child places through TUI regularly but they can get sold quickly, so it's advisable to book early for these sorts of promotions. There are five swimming pools here, but it's got to be the fun splash park which stands out. This mini water park, with a lazy river, waterslides and pirate ship, means the kids will want to spend all day and every day of your holiday here. There are slide restrictions for some of the larger slides. Pool towels are available for a €10 deposit.

Being an all inclusive resort, the five main restaurants in the hotel allow guests to mix up their dining experience during their stay, with the Olive Chef's Market offering the main buffet style meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner as part of the all inclusive offering and a mix of menu options at the others. No swimwear should be worn in the main restaurants. The dress code is smart casual in the Cosmopolitan restaurant where long trousers are required for men.
Snacks
Snack Corner hosts the main bulk of snacks and drinks during the day until 4pm, including hot snacks. Located by the pool if you're feeling peckish between meals or simply don't fancy a big lunch, you can come and grab a bite to eat here. Ice creams are served between 10am and 5pm and afternoon tea is also served between 4pm - 5:30pm.
Bars & Drinks
Soft drinks and local alcoholic drinks (beers, wines, some cocktails) are included as part of the all inclusive holiday package until midnight each night, so if you decide to enjoy a late one at the HV Irish Bar after midnight, drinks will be chargeable.
The Pearl Bar is a dedicated adults only bar, offering a more sophisticated experience without the kids running around. The Cantina Deli Cafe Pool and Entertainment Bar is outside in the activity area serving drinks from 10am through to midnight. For those who have more of an acquired taste and prefer more premium drinks brands, the Taste Bar serves premium drinks at an extra cost from 5pm until 10pm. The Atrium Bar, located in the main building is open from 10am until 1am and serves hot, cold and alcoholic drinks, and there's also a swim up bar at one of the pools to enjoy a refeshing drink during the day.
Things to Do Nearby
The nearest beach is Kolymbia Beach and is just a couple of minutes walk away where sun beds and parasol umbrellas can be hired. Head to the end of the beach and you'll reach Kolymbia Port where you can book onto traditional wooden greek boat trip too. This is a fun way to spend an afternoon if you're getting a little tired of staying within the hotel confines. Holiday Village don't provide beach towels as such, however, you could look at taking your pool towel to the beach.
For holidaymakers who like a bit of culture, head to the Monastery Tsambika, a short drive away. This old monastery sits on top of a hill with beautiful views over the local area of Kolymbia and Tsambika and out to sea. You can drive half way up but then you'll need to put on your trainers and walk the remaining 350+ steps.
And for those who like a fun day out, Faliraki Water Park is perfect for kids and grown-ups. With exciting rides like the Kamikaze slide and Twister slide for the over 12s, and more child friendly rides like the Crazy Cone and the Sting Ray, there's fun for everyone. Don't forget to head over to the wave pool too.
If you decide, once you've arrived, that you want to explore more, there is car hire company (Rodos Cars) located a 10 minute walk away in Kolympia.
Rhodes Town
It's about a 35-40 minute drive from Rhodes Town, where you can discover Rhodes Old Town, pick up a boat trip or enjoy some of the bars and restaurants in this lively part of the island.
