Rooms at the Alua Atlantico Golf Resort are clean and comfortable, perfect for your next holiday in Tenerife. Family rooms aren't available but interconnecting rooms are perfect for families. Late check out may be available subject to additional cost and availability. Many rooms offer a partial or full sea view, however, if booking hotel only via the official website, you can pay €10 per night extra to ensure a sea view room.

One Bedroom Suite

Family rooms (one bedroom suite) are available at the Alua Atlantico Golf Resort and offer space for a family of four (two adults and two children), with the children on sofa beds in the living area. These rooms enjoy more space with a separate mezzanine sleeping area for the double bed and all the same facilities you get with standard double rooms. Do note that family rooms are not available with sea views.

Hotel Facilities

The Hotel Alua Atlantico offers a range of facilities for your to enjoy on your holiday, whether you're in Tenerife as a family, a couple or with friends. WiFi is at an additional cost here so do bear that in mind if you have kids who are always on their phones or tablets. Parking is also available closeby.

Activities Available

During school holidays, kids can enjoy the dedicated children's club for ages 5 and over, however, this isn't available outside of school holidays so it's worth keeping in mind. But there are still plenty of activities on offer including the two pools, including an indoor pool for the rare occasion it rains. Pool side games are also of offer as is a five-a-side football pitch, beach volleyball court and two tennis courts, plus a small children's play area too.

Two pools are available to use, one outdoor pool which is salt water, while the indoor one is chlorinated and heated (particularly good for winter swimming)

Although there isn't a spa, hairdressing and beauty treatments are available to book at an additional cost, while there is also an on-site gym open from 10am until 6pm if you need to get a bit of exercise in. Guests can also enjoy a discount at the two golf courses nearby (Amarilla Golf and Golf Del Sur golf courses), with clubs available to rent at both.

Entertainment

During the day, activities like football, volleyball and aqua aerobics are put on by hotel staff, along with poolside games. During the evening, there is a mini-disco, karaoke and bingo to enjoy.

Food & Drink

The Alua Atlantico Golf Resort can be booked on a bed and breakfast, half board and all inclusive basis with several restaurants at the hotel to choose from.

Breakfast and lunch are served in the main buffet restaurant while guests can enjoy dinner in one of three restaurants. The hotel does have a dress code of no wet clothes, barefeet or swimwear in the restaurants, and during dinner, men are asked not to wear sleeveless tops.

All Inclusive

Guests on an all inclusive holiday can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in the main "Handicap 0" buffet restaurant which has a wide all inclusive menu, and features regular themed nights like Mexican and Chinese cuisine. Drinks included are water, some soft drinks, local beers and local wines. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including tea and coffee are available from 11am until 11pm. All beverages included within the all inclusive offer are written in red on the menus. Afternoon biscuits and ice cream are also included between 4pm and 6pm.

All inclusive guests can enjoy food at the two themed restaurants (Argentinian and Canarian food) for a supplement of €5 per person during the evenings.

Half Board

Guests on a half board basis can enjoy breakfast and dinner at the main buffet restaurant.

Those on a bed and breakfast basis will have breakfast included at the main buffet restaurant.

Restaurants

There are three restaurants at the hotel. One buffet style and two themed a la carte restaurants.

Restaurant "Handicap 0" - The main buffet style restaurant serves a range of local and international food, including salads and desserts.

• Lunch: 1pm - 3:30pm
• Dinner: 6:30pm - 9:30pm

Restaurante Argentino - Serving Argentinian food during the evenings between 6:30pm and 9:30pm. Guests on all inclusive and half board can eat at the restaurant with a supplement of €5 per person.
Restaurante Canario - Enjoy local Canaries cuisine at this dedicated restaurant for dinner between 6:30pm and 9:30pm. All inclusive and half board customers can also enjoy the menu here for a €5 supplement per person.
Faro Bar - The lobby bar, serving drinks from 6pm until 12:30am.
Pool Bar - Enjoy drinks from 9am until 6pm by the pool, and a snack BBQ during the lunch time period.

Things To Do

If lounging by the pool isn't your thing, on-site you can enjoy a variety of sports activities including table tennis and and bowls. Other sports activities such as tennis are available and are at an additional charge.

If you want to head out of the hotel, you're just minutes from the beach so head down to the Troya or Playa de las Americas beaches and spend the day playing in the sand. Alternatively, if you'd like to be a bit more active, why not try out one of Tenerife's fantastic waterparks, Aqualand or Siam Park, just a short taxi ride away. There's also a number of golf courses around Tenerife South.

For those more adventurous or wanting to explore more of the island, day trips can be booked as an alternative to hanging by the pool. Try a trip up the impressive Mount Teide, or go under water and give a local submarine trip a go, or even give scuba diving a go. Whale and dolphin watching trips from Los Cristianos are also an excellent day trip to experience.

Nightlife

In the evening, the hotel offers live entertainment or you can head into Las Americas to enjoy some of the nightlife that Tenerife has to offer or simply hang out at the hotel and enjoy the evening entertainment. The infamous Veronicas strip is just a five minute walk from the hotel.

Nearby Attractions

With Americas on your doorstep popular attractions nearby include Veronicas strip of lively bars, shops and restaurants. Little more cultured and further afield are the Magma Arte and Congress Centre, while a short walk beyond reaches Siam Mall and popular Siam Park, an ideal day out for the family or friends.

Getting Here And Distances

From Tenerife Airport

The distance from the airport to Alua Atlantico Golf Resort is 8km and takes about 25 minutes by airport transfer coach (from Tenerife South Airport). If hiring a car or taking a taxi, the journey will take about 15 minutes. A public bus runs from the airport to the Golf Del Sur and it's a 10 minute walk from the nearest bus stop to the hotel.

Siam Park is a 20 minute drive from the hotel.

To Las Americas
