TUI BLUE Los Gigantes

About the TUI BLUE Los Gigantes, Tenerife

Standing proudly on the waterfront, with the dramatic backdrop of the Acantilados de los Gigantes cliffs, the 4-star TUI BLUE Los Gigantes is a great, adults only hotel for those who want to escape the kids, enjoy year round sunshine in Tenerife, and still have easy access to bars and restaurants.

As a TUI BLUE For Two hotel (previously a Sensimar hotel), guests can enjoy a relaxed vibe with low-key entertainment, several restaurant options, a contemporary feel and wellbeing options, such as sunset yoga on the terrace, a salad bar at the buffet restaurant, and a gym and spa facilities. If you do enjoy more evening entertainment though, don't worry, there are a number of bars and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, as well as a marina, sandy beach and several shops. The hotel allows guests who are 18 years and over.

Better still, this is one of TUI's Green & Fair hotels, a resort which has been sustainable certified by Travelife for Accommodation, and TUI donates to the TUI Care Foundation for every stay booked.

Deals & Offers

By far the best way to book a stay here is with a flight and hotel package directly through TUI who are both ABTA and ATOL protected. What's more, you'll get 1 piece of luggage included as well as airport transfers within the cost of your holiday. You can book this as a hotel only option, either directly with TUI or through the hotel website, allowing you to book your flights separately with the likes of easyJet or Ryanair, however, you may find this is more expensive. The hotel is actually run by Stil Hotels & Resorts, which run other hotels like the TUI BLUE Victoria Menorca and the Stil Picafort Park in Majorca.

If you're booking a TUI package holiday here including TUI flights, and you book far enough in advance, you can also take advantage of TUI's no deposit holiday option, helping you to secure the price of your holiday, and pay off the balance over time.

Restaurants

There are two restaurants (or three restaurants if you include the pool bar), the main buffet restaurant, the pool bar for lunch, and an a la carte restaurant which is another evening option. The main restaurant has a wide selection of international dishes, including a salad bar and show cooking station.

Culinarium Restaurant

The Culinarium is the a la carte restaurant which sits in a room with sea views and a terrace. Guests generally have one meal included here within their holiday package. It's generally a set menu so you'll need to let them know if you have any dietary requirements and is open several nights a week.

Pool Bar

The pool bar is open throughout the day and is the perfect place to grab some lunch or enjoy a cold drink while cooling off in the shade from the sun.

Lounge Bar

The Lounge Bar is the main bar here with an extensive drinks menu. You can grab a sunset cocktail or after dinner drink, as well as enjoy a range of low-key evening entertainment, ranging from live music and shows to bingo. Sometimes they do also set up a sunset bar for drinks on a roof terrace which is a gorgeous way to enjoy the sunset and views before dinner.

Things to Do

Located close to Puerto Santiago, Los Gigantes is considered a slightly quieter area than that of Playa de Las Americas or Costa Adeje, but there is still plenty to see and do in the area.

Water Sports

With a marina nearby, there are a range of water sports activities you can try out locally, including sea kayaking and jet skiing. Surfing and windsurfing are also available in other parts of the island.

Day Trips & Excursions

There are a number of day trips you can take which can either be organised by yourself in advance or by your hotel staff. These can range from trips up into Mount Teide National Park, stargazing trips and excursions into Masca, to boat trips to go whale and dolphin watching, scuba diving, or to explore the cliffs in the area. Heading down to Costa Adeje and Playa de Las Americas, as well as a day out at Siam Park water park are other great options.

Marina

The marina here, Puerto de Los Gigantes, is a lovely way to spend a morning, wandering around the shops, grabbing a drink or bite to eat and watching the world go by. Many boat trips also depart from here.

Beach

The nearest beach is just beyond the marina at Playa de los Guios. Because of the cliffs, the sun doesn't reach the beach until later in the morning. Alternatively you can visit the small, black sand beach at Playa de Santiago or Playa de la Arena, both of which a a bit further down the coast (40 minute walk between TUI BLUE Los Gigantes and Playa de la Arena).

Getting Here

If you've booked a package holiday with TUI, your airport transfer should be included. This is the best way to get from Tenerife South Airport to TUI BLUE Los Gigantes. The journey time can take up to an hour due to the location (but it's a beautiful location). You can easily hire a car from the airport (we recommend booking car hire in advance for the best rates), which will allow you to explore the island at your own pace. The area around Los Gigantes is very hilly, so if you aren't a confident driver on hills and slopes, we recommend an automatic hire car.
