Things to Do

Puerto Santiago is located up on the west coast of Tenerife, between the dramatic cliffs of Los Gigantes and Playa de la Arena to the south. Although it's a quieter area compared to other parts of the island, there are still a couple of bits going on in Puerto Santiago, and if you don't mind a little walk, you've got black sand beaches to the south, and Los Gigantes marina to the north.

Water Sports

Tenerife is a fantastic island for water sports, whether that's on the water like sea kayak, underwater like scuba diving, or a bit of both like surfing. You'll be able to organise watersports activities before you go and when you get there.

Day Trips & Excursions

Day trips and excursions are a fun way to see more of the island. No trip to Tenerife is complete without a day at Siam Park water park, great for adults and children, and the best rated waterpark in the world! It's about a 30 minute drive by car or taxi, but there is also a paid for bus service which stops right outside the Globales Tamaimo Tropical on Calle la Hondura. Other trips include boat trips from Los Gigantes marina to see Masca and dolphin watching, as well as nighttime stargazing excursions and trips up Mount Teide National Park to see the epic volcano and its lava fields. Reception staff can help you organise a tour when you arrive if you need.

Beach

The nearest beach is a 10-15 minute walk away. It's a small black sand beach at Playa de Santiago, with Playa de Volcan and Playa de la Arena beach a little further south. The beach at Los Gigantes (Playa de los Guios) is also possible and will take around 25 minutes walking.
