The 1 bedroom apartment has either a balcony or terrace and provides the space you need for a family holiday. These apartments sleep up to four people, with the separate living room having 2 sofa beds. WiFi, air conditioning and a separate bathroom with shower are standard.
Superior 1 Bedroom Apartment with Balcony or Terrace
For a bit of an upgrade, the superior 1 bedroom apartments also have a terrace or balcony, kitchenette and air conditioning, but have a few key extras like bathrobes and slippers. A hairdryer, iron, ironing board and safe are also available.
There are three outdoor swimming pools here, the main one (which is heated), an activity pool (where you can enjoy activities like pool games and aqua aerobics) and a quieter chill out pool too. For kids, there's a children's splash park with activities and waterslides for the little ones, plus a shallow baby pool. There is an indoor pool in the spa area which is for adults only, except mornings when children can be accompanied by an adult. Oh and there's plenty of sunloungers too.

Being a TUI BLUE For All hotel means the kids' clubs are fantastic. With a huge range of sports and activities on offer like cooking classes, competitions and gameshows, as well as splash park, playground and schools like the Swim School and family football, this place is perfect for a family holiday. The clubs are split between the BabyClub for babies, the Minis (3-5 year olds), the Maxis (6-11 year olds), and the Hangout for 12-15 year olds, making it ideal for teenagers too.

For grown ups there's a gym with various cardio machines and weight training equipment and certain classes too like yoga. There's also a BLUEfit For Families programme too. The Flamingo Spa & Wellness Centre is the ideal spot for a bit of rest and relaxation. The indoor heated pool, Jacuzzi and sauna can help to let go of all those stresses, while a spa treatment is the ultimate in pamping, with treatments like massage, body scrub and pedicures on offer. It's worth noting that in the mornings, children are able to use the spa facilities when accompanied by an adult, so if you prefer some adults only time, be sure to book an appointment in the afternoon.

There's a range of sports and facilities on offer here, including active sports like tennis, football and yoga, as well as less strenuous sports like darts and billiards. Family football always proves popular, but the Swim School is one of the most requested activities, helping children learn a new skill. Step out the hotel and across the promenade and you'll be on the gorgeous sandy beach of Playa Flamingo. The beach is sheltered a bit here by rocks so is ideal for building sandcastles and spending a fun, family day on the soft sand. This is one of the very few sandy beaches in Lanzarote, but if you're hiring a car, why not head to Playa Mujeres or Playa del Pozo a little further along the coast?
Water Sports
Although the hotel doesn't offer watersports, you can easily book a kayaking or snorkelling session at Papagayo. You're also a 10-15 minute walk from the marina which has boat trips and catamaran tours.
Day Trips & Excursions
There's plenty to see and do on the island so why not book onto a day trip or organised excursion? Getting Here
By far the simplest and easiest way to get to the Flamingo Beach Hotel is by organised coach transfer. When booking a TUI package holiday, this is usually included within the price and is one less thing you have to worry about. If you've booked a holiday including transfers with a free child place, the child place will also be included. If you want to explore the island, you can book car hire in advance and pick it up at the airport. The journey from Lanzarote airport to the hotel takes around 30-40 minutes.

Our Review
We absolutely love this hotel. It's a TUI BLUE For All hotel but it's really well suited for families with plenty of things going on to keep the kids busy. Couples and adults only are welcome but you'll certainly be surrounded by kids a lot of the time. It's right opposite the sandy beach which is great because there aren't actually that many sandy beaches in this part of Lanzarote. You're also quite close (5-10 minute walk) to Aqualava Water Park.
Yes, there is a heated indoor pool within the spa area. Children can use this when accompanied by an adult in the mornings but it's an adults only area in the afternoons.
