Buenavista Del Norte Holidays Guide 2024/2025

It might be one of the trickier places to get to, but the scenery and tranquility in this part of Tenerife more than makes up for it. Holidays in Buenavista del Norte are relaxed and a true escape. The weather is a little more tropical than the south but that just means there's more lush greenery to enjoy.

Up here, you're a world away from the bright lights of Las Americas and Adeje. Instead you'll stumble across quiet beaches and local towns, showing a different side of Tenerife than you might be used to.

Getting To, From & Around Buenavista Del Norte

Getting to Buenavista del Norte is probably one of the longest journeys you'll take on the island. From Tenerife South airport, you have two options, the straightforward motorways almost three quarters around the island in about an hour and 45 minutes, or a 70 minute journey that takes you up into the mountains, snaking down the other side with some of the best views in Tenerife.

Things To Do

The quiet coastal walks around here offer some of the most impressive views in Tenerife. Try a section of the Sendero Las Salinas hiking trail and discover the hidden beach coves amongst the rugged coastline.

Golf

Golf is another popular option here. If you're after a golf holiday, the Buenavista Golf Course sits amongst the banana plantations, and if you're staying at the Melia Hacienda de Conde, the views across the course from the pool and many of the rooms is seriously impressive.

Masca

If you can face winding roads and looking over sheer drops, a tour that takes you into Masca is an absolute must-do. Half and full day trips take you up into the mountains to explore the impressive scenery and history of the area.

Where To Stay In Buenavista Del Norte

In terms of hotels, there's really only one place to stay, and what an incredible place it is. The Melia Hacienda del Conde Hotel offers a finca style holiday with far reaching views out to sea from its infinity pool. It's a bit of a walk into the main town if you want to try out some of the local restaurants in Buenavista del Norte, but this really is where you come to relax and getaway from it all.
